Subcontractor Selection

This month our general contractor, Evans Chaffee Construction Group, is working with us on the subcontractor selection process. In other words, they’re choosing the crackerjack teams that will build the school’s plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems (and much more). It is estimated that some 90% of the subcontractors who have submitted bids for the project are Roaring Fork Valley locals.

Moving On Together

It’s hard to believe, but our first Moving Day is upon us. Thank goodness we don’t have as far to go as these fellows, though the task at hand seems monumental! The day after graduation, ACS starts a six-day effort to pack up and out of the gym. Pulling Permits

After months of design, the rubber meets the road when we pull permits and begin the process of converting 2D plans to 3D structures. The first step, submitting plans to government building departments, will take place this week in Pitkin County (for our employee housing) and next month at the State level (for all school-related structures).
