K-8 building interior foundation concrete will commence. Design Advisory Group (DAG) resumes regular meetings on 9/8. The Design Team will present furniture, fixtures, equipment and material samples to DAG for approval. Installation of sub-slab utilities, including plumbing and sewer, in K-8 building. Sprinklers and fire alarms will be installed in dorm. Ongoing: LEED Gold application process and fundraising ($3,715,123 to go, $9.38M completed).
Despite August’s frequent rains, our project team was able to stay busy and on schedule. The earthwork subcontractor worked long days and weekends to get ready for students next week. Concrete for the K-8 building is being poured. (See above.) The final stage of the building permit is on schedule, with Design Team having sent their response to the State yesterday. Temporary electrical and fire alarm are being installed in the modular classroom. The shallow utilities are being installed. The excavation of the gym foundation is in progress. Additional safety fencing is being set up. Final work on Upper Lot for staff parking is underway.
