Aspen Community School is a public charter school of the Aspen School District, offering equal and tuition-free access to ACS’s small school environment, low student/teacher ratio, award-winning curriculum, and integrated arts program.
Unfortunately, Aspen Community School also holds the honor of being one of Colorado’s highest-performing schools in one of its lowest-performing facilities. After 40 years of intensive use and growing enrollment, our dated facilities haven’t kept pace with our innovative philosophies. Our students are excelling in a building that’s failing, and it’s time for a change.
In May, after four years of effort, we secured Colorado’s BEST grant (Building Excellent Schools Today). Along with the phenomenal support of over 650 donors who have contributed nearly $5 million to date, we are now 80% of the way to our total campus goal of $11.6 million.
We continue to actively solicit donations to support the construction of a renewed campus. We’ve got the State behind us. We’ve got the School District behind us. We’ve got businesses, organizations, and foundations behind us. We’ve got the community behind us. We’ve got an amazing project ahead of us. Now all we need is YOU — with any donation of any size — to help us get it done.
With $2.5 million to go, we cannot let this opportunity to build a school worthy of our students, and our community, pass us by. Please join us today.
You can help the school by supporting our campus campaign with a tax-deductible gift or pledge today.
